The crucifix in the Memorial Chapel above the Birt House seats is made of wood carried back to Bishops by ODs who fought in the Battle of Delville Wood in World War I.

INVITATIONS

Issue No 3 - October 2006

The greatest good that we can do for others is not just to share our riches with them, but to reveal theirs.
(Zig Ziglar)

It is difficult to believe that two months have passed since the previous edition of BishopsBlue was published, but when one reads through this cross-section of life at Bishops, then maybe one is not so surprised at the time elapsed. Since then a host of activities touching the lives of so many of the Bishops family across all three campuses have run their various courses: from Table Bay to Kilimanjaro to cyberspace; on the road, on the fields, on the courts, on the stage; in the classroom, in the Chapel, in the Houses. We have bade farewell to the Class of 2006 and inducted the new leadership; we have made special presentations in recognition of service and achievements. We have, in other words, continued to strive for excellence and recognise the contributions of many.
